iOS 14.4 is available: the list of new features

       

Apple now offers iOS 14.4 (build 18D52) for download in the final version on iPhone and iPadOS 14.4 on iPad. The update comes betas and a release candidate .

Apple's new features in iOS 14.4:

• Recognize smaller QR codes in the Camera app.

• Possibility of classifying the different types of Bluetooth device in the Settings app for proper identification of the headphones in audio notifications.

• Receive notifications when it is not possible to verify if your iPhone has a new, original Apple camera (on iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max).

There are these notes for iOS 14.4 bug fixes:

• Artifacts could appear in HDR photos taken with the iPhone 12 Pro.

• Updated data from the Activity app might not appear in the Shape widget.

• Typing on the keyboard might be shifted and word suggestions might not appear.

• The keyboard could display in the wrong language in the Messages app.

• Enabling selection control in Accessibility could prevent phone calls from being taken from the locked screen.

To download iOS 14.4, go to Settings> General> Software update. Alternatively, you can go to this page , manually download the update, and install from a computer. You have to go through iTunes on a PC and the Finder on a Mac.
