Android 12 could allow custom colors of applications
Google would be working on a system for customizing the colors of applications on Android 12. This would give the user the choice of a main color and a secondary color and then apply it to compatible applications.
Since Android 10, users can switch their smartphones to dark mode . Apart from this option, and Pixel devices which allow you to select the display color of certain items, the customization choices remain to this day limited . This could well be about to change with Android 12. Google is indeed in the process of developing an in-depth theme system, which would allow the color of applications to be changed .
Thanks to this feature, the user could choose a main color and a secondary color that would apply to the whole of Android . The main color could be found on notifications or in settings, to name a few. But the great novelty would undoubtedly be the possibility of displaying its applications in the desired color. However, these would not be compatible with the functionality.
Android would leave the choice of colors for its applications
Indeed, such a device requires that the developers give access to the modification of the colors within their application. Although Android 12 will make it easier to install apps through alternative stores to the Play Store , it is not certain that all of them comply with this new system. However, the latter would simplify the task of those directly integrating several themes in their menu, leaving entirely the hand to the users . For now, the only way to achieve this level of customization is to root your smartphone and install Substratum .
