Moto G9 Power: a large 6,000 mAh battery to beat its rivals and those at home in autonomy
What caught our attention about the Moto G9 Plus was its autonomy, but someone threatens to beat it and at home. It is one of its little brothers, the new Moto G9 Power , which reminds us of the Moto G9 Play for its characteristics, although we will see that there are some differences.
It seemed to us that its predecessor, the Moto G8 Power , had almost infinite autonomy with its 5,000 mAh battery and its successor has a 6,000 mAh battery . It is undoubtedly its most striking feature, which in turn gives meaning to this series of the Motorola mid-range.

A familiar design and the peculiar bet on the button for Google Assistant
The rear of Motorola maintains certain lines that make there some brands of the house. One of the clearest is the presence of the logo of the brand in the center of it, which also in this case integrates the fingerprint reader .
Just as the G8 Power had the camera module in the center, in the new G9 Power it moves to a corner, while maintaining that square or dice shape. It stands out slightly preserving the color of the back, which we will find in purple (Electric Violet) or green (Metallic Sage).
It should also be noted that, unlike a large majority of manufacturers who have ended up discarding the idea, Motorola chooses to include a physical button for Google Assistant (in fact, they even show a chest). And taking advantage of the fact that it is a rather bulky (and apparently heavy) phone, the is added minijack audio on the upper edge.
The front is flat, with slimmed frames except for the bottom one and with the front camera integrated into the screen. A panel with HD + resolution and 6.8 inches. It stays at 60 Hz and what they have not yet commented on is the panel technology, which according to what is seen in the rest of the G9 will be IPS.
Looking to beat its predecessor in autonomy
The engine of the G9 Power is the same as that of the G8 Power. It is the Snapdragon 662 , accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage that can be expanded with microSD up to 512 GB.
As we said, inside there is the main protagonist: the 6,000 mAh battery . Motorola promises an autonomy of 60 hours with a single charge, something that will have to be verified in its analysis, with the addition that it supports fast charging of 20 W. The mobile comes with Android 10 and the My UX customization layer, which allows some customization without being one of the most ornate.
In photography, a more conformist bet is also made, seeing that it is committed to a 64 megapixel sensor for the main camera but without accompanying it with a wide angle. The secondary cameras are a macro lens and another for depth analysis, both with the same sensor.

In video, the main camera can record in FullHD at both 30 and 60 frames per second (also in HD at 30 fps). The macro camera stays at 30 fps and HD quality.
Moto G9 Power versions and prices
The starting price of the new Moto G9 Power is 199.99 euros , basically the same as we saw for the Moto G9 Play. As we have commented, there will only be one version in terms of memories (4 GB and 128 GB) and it will be in two colors: purple or green.
The brand does not give the exact date of availability, but we know it will arrive "in the next few weeks." We will update the article when the data is known.
